What is Worship?
Worship is a treasuring of God above all things that overflows into external acts of glorification. It is any expression of obedience, praise, honor, adoration, and gratitude offered to the true God by a regenerate soul who knows the Truth about God and Loves Him. Worship is not just singing a song on Sunday; it is a lifestyle, something we do 24/7.
“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship him in Spirit and in Truth” - John 4:24
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glor y of God” - 1 Corinth 10:31
Purpose of the Worship Team
We exist to use our God-given abilities to lead others in Christ-centered worship. We lead in songs with our P&W team, we provide lyrics, we provide sound, we provide memories–we help set the environment for a corporate church worship. The HolySpirit is the one who leads–but humanly speaking–we are the ones who lead and help facilitate a corporate worship.
“Based on the gifts each one has received, use it to serve others”-1 Peter 4:10
“Christ is before all things”-Colossians 1:17
